K-5th graders make tactiles of water and landmasses. K-1st graders make a large, tactile, to-scale map of their room. K-1st graders add point, line and area symbols to a classroom map. 2nd-3rd graders make tactile maps of NY Harbor, and read “A City Is”.
2nd-3rd graders make map keys and design fantasy parks. 4th-5th graders make a large, tactile, to-scale map of their room. 4th-5th graders use a tactile compass to learn directions.
